Generally iodine deficiency is linked to thyroid problems which can lead to fertility issues. There isn’t a specific test for iodine deficiency so the likelihood of one having this without another underlying issue at the root of it is fairly slim.
I just got told yesterday that I have a Thyroid problem, I picked my meds up today for it.. She told me infertility is one of the reasons with having Thyroid issues. (I didnt get told much about iodine) that's why I haven't had any periods amongst the other issues including my heart. This Thyroid stuff is no joke infertility is so real with this. I encourage woman to be checked for it if they are having any issues with Health.. I knew "something" was wrong w me? But I didn't know what until yesterday I'm relieved I finally know what's been going on w me but at the same time mind blown this is going on w me.
☝️So true. Usually Thyroid issues are the underlying cause, and with Iodine your thyroid needs it. I know there’s conflicting literature on taking iodine supplements because it’s not easy to test for therefor hard to gauge how much to take.

I believe it’s linked to Hashimoto’s also.

I knew about thyroid as I have a friend who has it, and had to go to a fertility specialist to get pregnant
