Adding: We are driving from NY to Alabama and back with stop overs in Virginia. It's an 8 hour drive (without stops) to Virginia and we want to try to limit our stops of we can to every 2-3 hours. So I want him to be comfy.

We have this as our travel seat. It’s super light weight and easy to install. The Car Seats for The Little’s page on fb recommends this seat. It can be reclined or as upright as needed rear facing as long as your child is sitting unassisted making it easy to use in tighter spaces. ?

How is it for getting the baby in and out? Thats one thing I can't find info on. Our infant seat is a nightmare. We have a Nissan Altima so we have plenty of room to recline it. The more and more I read about it the more convinced I'm becoming. My little guy just hates his infant seat so much I can't see him being OK for long stretches. 10 minutes to the store seems to be all he can handle.

The sides are low compared to a lot of other seats which makes it easy to get him in and out but it’s still a deeper so sometimes I feel like Miller slumps in and can be a pain to get the buckle around him. We use it as an extra seat that we move from car to car and it fit in a 2 door mustang!

They can't be any worse than the straps on his Maxi Cosi infant seat lol. We love the seat but OMG, everytime we go to put him in it the straps are twisted and uneven.. serious pain in the ass. I'm pretty sure we are going to buy it this week when I get paid and try it out. We aren't leaving until December 23rd so we have plenty of time. Hopefully by the time we leave he'll be sitting unassisted too so we can sit him upright and let him look out the window. Big brother will be in the backseat with him too so if we have to readjust him he'll let us know. Anyone else with any input feel free to let me know.

We got this seat for our first. All seats have to pass the same test so I'm all for the cheaper option ? it isn't super padded and long term it's not good for taller babies. Mine outgrew it at about 18 months. We got the Cisco Serena I believe. It's the same brand but the $70/$80 one and it'll last her longer and it's more padded.

@Jordan.. awesome! We're getting a better one in spring with taxes so we just need something short time so honestly from everyone's comments I think we're gonna go for it!

We bought it for a trip for my first son and hated it so much we returned it after one day. There isn't any padding so I don't think it can be too comfy for a baby?

The no padding definitely throws me off a little, but we have enough time to try it out before we have to travel in case we have to return it and go with plan B.
