Cardiologist appt tomorrow
Damien has his cardiologist appt tomorrow for his heart murmur and I'm a nervous wreck. I could use positive stories or just encouragement. We have a family history of congenital heart defects in our family on both sides so as much as the Dr has told me not to worry, of course I am.

I took my now 4 yr old son in for a regular dr visit before he turned 1 year old and a dr told me he had a heart murmur and referred me to the child cardiologist. He listened to my son's heart and told me that it was considered a "normal" murmur that many children get and grow out of. He wasn't even concerned about it and didn't even want a follow up appt. I had been nervous because my mom had previously had a heart murmur when she was younger. But no other dr has ever heard the murmur again, so I think he must have grown out of it.. Try not to worry too much. (easier said than done, I know. lol) It could be the same type of thing that my son had.

We have heart issues on both sides of the family as well and Amelia had a murmur. She went to the cardiologist at about 4 months old and it was gone! Said everything looks good.
