I'm not sure if it's different for each baby carrier, but I have a Baby Björn and a boba wrap. I carry my little one facing out in the Baby Björn and he likes it. Now that he's bigger and older we use the boba wrap when he's tired and I know he will fall asleep (or just for extra snuggles when we go for a walk). He's 3 months (born 3/25) but I've been carrying him facing out for at least 2 weeks now. I think it just depends on the baby but if you think he's ready I'd say go for it.

From my understanding they shouldn't face out until they can fully support their own head

My son will be 3 months the 17th and I faced him forward the other day in the baby bjorn and he loved it and did just fine. He has good head control also, I'm not sure of the rules but I base it off the baby, obviously if a baby can't control their head don't do it. After he got sleepy I turned him around and he went to sleep on me.

He should be sitting just a little higher and that'll give him the vision over your shoulders. I think he's too low. It's not recommended to face them forward for risk of dip dysphasia.

So I moved him up so he could get a better view, but he still wasn't having it. Lol, he's gonna be strong willed like his brother when he gets older ❤❤❤.
