Reflux Mommies with reflux babies on medication.. how was your baby diagnosed and did the prescribe…

Are situation is different because my little guy has an underdeveloped trachea and sucks in a lot of air while eating. The ENT doctor gave us something but it wasn't helping so we had to go back to see him, I was originally mad but he was just like he probably has silent reflux hers some Zantac. The pedi wanted me to cut out milk and sugars them try formula all before going to make us go to the GI. Im pretty thankful the ENT gave it to us so easy. He even said he doesn't understand why some doctors make such a big deal out of it, if baby is suffering why not give them what they need.

Technically my baby girl hasn't been formally diagnosed, but she has refused to sleep on her back since she was 3 weeks old and her doctor thinks it could be because of reflux. Originally she was on baby Zantac but was recently switched to Nexium. The Zantac did help a little (less fussy and less spit ups) but she still won't sleep on her back.

My first had it, he had silent reflux.. you could hear stuff coming up then hear him swallow, then he would immediately start crying!

So this go round when I started to hear it we called the doctor and got medicine..

he is getting Better finally! ??

Thanks guys! I took a video of him today about 30 minutes after eating where you can hear and see him in distress hoping it will helping doctor to see it. Also out of desperation after 2 hrs of straight crying I bought the Windi, gonna see if it helps cause I know some of it I definitely gas related

Mary, tell me how the windi works for you, I want to buy one but have to order it online.

I've used the Windi before and it works great. In addition to gas it can also help your LO poop so make sure you have a diaper in place like it says on the box.

After describing the symptoms of spitting up and fussiness, the dr prescribed zantac over the phone and I went picked it up from the pharmacy within an hr. It helps tremendously she doesn't grunt as much and the spit ups are rare.
