I hate to be that person, but I'm desperate...
About 1.5 hours ago I started getting really bad back and abdominal pain. I've tried timing contractions but the pain has been almost constant I can't really tell. No bloody show or leaking. I've tried a shower, on my 3rd cup of water, and tried every position possible, and I can't stop peeing. I'm 36+4. Id hate to wake up my family for this (it's 12:26am). My first pregnancy was induced so i don't know what natural labor is like. Suggestions? I have an NST at 2pm should I try to hold out?

I'd go in

I would call labor & delivery if you can or just go in! Never feel bad or silly for worrying about your baby ?

Mine with my first weren't ever consistent or regular, I would go in if you are in actual pain! I almost didn't but ended up going in and was at a 7.5

You could also have an infection or something?

Call the advice nurse or L&D and see what they suggest! I'd definitely call :)

Spoke to the on call nurse. The back pain subsided and the contractions I could finally time are still far apart so she wants me to give it another hour and go in if it gets bad again. The hospital is literally right across the street (I can see the entrance from my front porch) so since baby boy is super active with a home doppler hb of 145 she feels comfortable with me waiting it out. ? I need a nap.

Try an epsom salt bath next time. It helps reduce contractions. :)

Still felt off. On call nurse wanted me in. At L&D now

Glad you went in. Keep us posted.

Updating: contracting every 2 minutes however I am only at 1-2cm dialated, 30% effaced and -3 station so they are trying to hydrate me to hopefully stop contractions.
Mary·
Hydrating worked enough to be discharged with follow up at 2pm with OB unless anything happens. Positive vibes he keeps cooking please.
