Starting to get nervous. I was scheduled for one since I am diabetic and was untreated pre- pregnancy, but I can't seem to find that as a main reason on internet searches. Anyone else have one for this reason or know someone who has, or should I be worried my Dr. isnt telling me something and brace myself?

It is standard practice to have a fetal echo if you are diabetic prior to pregnancy. I had one too. It's just because being diabetic can cause heart defects so they just want to be sure. I'm sure all is fine with your baby! Best wishes.

I had fetal echo with both boys when I had GD only in pregnancy haven't had it with this baby but didn't get diabetic. They never told me why I was having them and It was always normal. Just took it as another opportunity to see my little man ?
