Just a rant ?
So I’m kinda worried my boyfriend is just gonna leave me out to dry. He has bills and stuff he has to take care of in his house and I get that. I live with my parents and they have bought everything I need for my baby girl because I can’t work (my doctor said I can’t due to the swelling in my legs and feet for anyone wondering) but basically he doesn’t spend anything he has left in her or even put it in his savings?? He just went out and got a 100$ tattoo instead of oh idk.. buying diapers or onesies or putting it in savings. He’s not taking care of himself (eating healthy) he’s eating ramen instead of actually going grocery shopping and making nutritious food for himself. So if he’s not taking care of himself how is he gonna take care of me and our baby?? I’m planning on breastfeeding because I can’t afford formula and I’ve always wanted to do it so Its gonna be harder for me to get a job.. I have no problems with working I just think he’s hoping I’ll figure it out like I always do and he’s not gonna have to worry about it.. sorry for the long post this has just been keeping me up worrying at night and I’m hoping getting advice will help

Have you tried applying to WIC? If you don’t work you should definitely qualify. It’s a big help because formula is expensive

I have looked into it, but because I’m living with my parents I don’t qualify. My dad makes too much. I’m gonna be living here until she’s around 6 months old and me and my boyfriend get married

For most men it doesn’t become real until the baby gets here. Hopefully that’s how it’ll be for him.

I feel you. My daughter's father didn't start buying stuff for her until we found out the sex of the baby. Maybe he'll cone around morw towards the birth. Some men are just like that because the actual pregnancy might not mean as much to them as the baby being here.

Too me it sounds like he’s comfortable. Like he knows you and your parents are going to just take care of everything so he’s shrugging it off and I would take care of the problem now. Make a list of things you still need or of hospital bills you still need to pay or when/how you would like to prepaid for baby and kindly explain to him that although your parents have helped you both out a lot there’s still tons to be done and start to mention a few things you still need (bottles, wipes, diapers, ect) and tell him he doesn’t need to get it all at once but it would be nice if every paycheck you both could run to wall mart and grab a box or two.

I’m worried I’ll offend him or he’ll take it the wrong way if I bring it up to him. I don’t think he was prepared to be a dad yet.. I let him know as soon as we got together if I ended up pregnant he didn’t have to be a part of it but I would never get an abortion and he seemed so giddy when I told him I was pregnant.. I don’t think he’s taking this seriously..

I live with my parents and my step dad makes a lot of money and I still have wic. It’s none of their business how much your parents make just because you live with them. I just told them a random number of how much my parents make and I was approved. They don’t support me anyways I just moved back home because it was best for my baby.

My dads military so I have to go on base to do anything. Wic included and they have access to his paychecks lol so that wouldn’t work :(

My boyfriend was the same way until we had our baby shower . That made it all surreal to him. Which i get . Hopefully he’ll come around , but I live with my family and I qualified for wic ? Just give them your income and say you suppport yourself . And your baby’s father helps you out

I’m not having a baby shower due to not knowing anyone, I also am not working right now (docs orders I can’t be on my feet for long periods of time and I live in sin city.. so) I’m just hoping it gets better and I’m just overwhelmed and overreacting

I’m not aloud to work as well, family members got together and threw us it ! Hopefully he’ll come around . Don’t think you’re overreacting cause you’re definitely not .! You want the baby to have a good life and everything baby needs
