I remember feeling this way with my daughter. I was miserable and I cried when my due date came and went and my ob wouldn't set an induction up until I was 41 weeks. I thought it was the end of the world!!

Lo and behold the night before my induction date I went into spontaneous labor!!! Rest up mama! The end is near you will be holding that little one before you know it.

I was due 5/25 DD wasn't born until 6/3

I just spent the time distracting myself. We went mini golfing, played a bunch of games outside, went to baseball games.

Hopefully LO makes an appearance soon.

I hope she comes by herself, I have an appointment today and my midwife said she wants to induce if she didn't come by today.

I know how hard that wait is! Both of my babies were late!!

I had that happen to me! I cried ? Oh well!

Did you try getting your membranes swept? My midwife did that for me the day before my due date and I had my LO the next day. Doesn't work for everyone but it's worth considering! Either way.. babe will be here soon!! Good luck!

My close friend was going to a mid wife & She had ro be induced, they inserted a balloon type thing in her to get her body to start dilating and the contractions going, is that what they plan to do to you too? They inserted it on a wednesday morning and she had her son thursday around 3am. He was born 14 days past his due date.

Going over your due date sucks. Mine was born at 41 + 1.

Pamper yourself any way possible. Plant yourself on the couch and watch movies, take lots of naps, do what makes you happy. It will happen soon!

Sucks waiting but baby will come when they come my first I was almost a month early my second 2 weeks early so with my third I assumed oh it'll be early NOPE she was almost "2 weeks" late by the doctors edd which I think they were just off she was 2 weeks late and only 7 lbs which they estimated min 10 lbs I think in reality she was right on time if I would of had her on here EDD she prob would of been around 5 lbs even my doctor was like wow good thing we didn't induce u around ur EDD

@bebe midwifes use most of the same ways as a regular OB. From my experience hey are more willing to do membrane sweeps. And if that doesn't work and your already dilated they could do an AROM (artificial rupture of membrane) which is breaking your water. Some will use the balloon that helps you dilate and brings on contractions.

I'm going to be induced tomorrow morning. I've had 3 sweeps so far, and nothing has happened yet. I'm really nervous, they're going to induce me with "a low dose" of pitocin and stadol but I can move around and use my birth ball.

I'm going to try to stay strong and not ask for the epidural. My midwife says she's induced some women before and they went natural without the epidural so it's possible.
