Wow thanks for the visuals!! I think this will help ease a lot of our stress about 2 cribs!

When I was pregnant I bought one basinett for them to sleep in. As my logic was if they don't like sleeping together I can always pop out and buy a second. I bought two cots as I knew they would eventually need two.

They slept in one until 5 months then I took the sides off and strapped them together making a giant cot (about the size of a double bed) and this continued to work great.

I know putting them together isn't what everyone wants but it worked for us. I've heard people worry about waking each other. But mine learnt to sleep through each other (they can really scream sometimes) and this has helped us. A bit like don't be quiet when a baby is sleeping principal! X

@ tbrooks15, thank you so much for this, I'm currently 36+4 with twin boys & have only bought 1 bassinet for them to sleep in & gives me an idea of how long until a 2nd Cot is needed

Twins love to be together like they where in the womb my nephews are 16 years old with their own bed but still sleep together & there feet touching each other

Would i regular bassinet be big enough or is there a special one for twins?

This definitely eases my anxiety about thinking I need two of everything. I have one bassinet and wondering if they will be ok to sleep in there together. If so, how long until you transfer to crib. Thanks :)
