It's crazy. I feel bad for people who leave especially like prominent people in the church. That Marty guy. They just approach them and start saying awful things. I feel so bad. I'm friends with a girl on Facebook who grew up in the "church" and was abandoned at 13yrs on the side of the road. Her parents just left her because she said she didn't like the "church" the things she tells me that went on are horrific.

It is a fricking business operating as a church that uses and abuses it's members. I mean really it started back in the sixty's I think because some guy decided that aliens inhabitants our bodies and we are just hosts for them, therefore children can do as they please due to the fact that they have a million year old ? that went in at birth. ? Ya sure ok.
Yeah it was talking about how they sign million year contracts. They believe our body is a vessel and we move on into other vessels when the body dies. They believe we are immortal. They don't believe in mental illnesses. They condition you but yelling horrible personal things at you. And if you flinch or anything you fail. You have to pay to move to each level. They tell people when they can have kids and if a woman gets pregnant and they don't agree they force them to get abortions. I am pro choice but that's so wrong. The founder was a sci-fi writer. Like really? And the leader nows wife I guess has not been seen for like 9 years. They believe she's dead. I mean the amount of abuse is crazy. This girl I'm talking to said they literally were used as slaves as kids. They were worked for 11-14 hours a day. They were fed scraps from the staff members meals.
But they brain wash people. So if the FBI or cops go investigate the people say "no I want this. I'm fine" so nothing can be done. They are brainwashed to think that they are fine and it's ok.
Didn't see that movie but I watched the Leah Remini Scientology special that was on TLC. It was a great series that revealed the low down dirty secrets of the "cult".
It's not a real religion. Religion shouldn't break up families or force you to do things against your will. Religion shouldn't give you financial problems & your leaders should never physically abuse you, kidnap you, or keep you captured/locked away for years
@brown how can I watch that for free? I don't have cable I just have an amazon fire stick. I get HBO, amazon prime shows and movies and Netflix. Is it on A&E or TLC you said?
I found Leah remini's episodes on You Tube. I don't have cable either so that's how I watched them when the last season was airing. No idea if they are still up. But it took some searching on you tube.

I lived with scientologists for a while. The "church" truly take over your whole life. They took me to a couple of events and there is such an air of hysteria at them with everyone saying how great everything is. It's nuts.
I watched the leah rimini series and i believe everything that was revealed. There was a bbc documentary a few years ago as well and they hounded the interviewer until he lost it.
I think they're very dangerous because of the money they have.

Steph I found it on Netflix. It's called "my Scientology movie" I think there's another one in HBO if you have it called "going clear"
