So if anyone cares there is a plan. He stole at least a million dollars worth of stuff. My uncle recorded a conversation between him and my great uncle. But since he didn't tell him he was recording it can't be used legally. The whole family is planning to meet Friday to clean the house. If my great uncle doesn't come clean my uncle will play the conversation for everyone including this mans kids to hear. I guess his kids had no idea and do not think my Grammy stole anything (it was a lie) they are going to give him two options 1. If he hasn't pawned the stuff he can bring someone to get the stuff and return it and things can continue to be dispersed equally or 2. If he won't come clean he can keep what he took and will not be entitled to ANYTHING else and not be involved anymore. We'll see how it goes.

Happens all the time. I would confront them I would not be ok with it. My mom doesn't have a backbone so when her brother passed her left his 3 houses to my mom from Mexico. Well they are very nice houses and their sister begged my mom to have them because she could rent two and live in one ? my mom signed them over since she said it wasn't worth loosing a sibling for ? her sister also told everyone my mom had stole them from her because "he promised her the houses" lies because we had to do legal paper work for my mom to own them. same with papi property he hasn't even passed and everyone is fighting for his 50 acres ?. It's going to be a big surprise when they find out I'm on the will for a part of that land

It happens all the time. My aunt went in & raided my grandmother's valuable jewelry before the rest of the siblings got there. Years later & everyone is still pissed about it. I don't know how involved you want to get, but it might be worth it to advocate for your granny.

The thing is I don't know my great aunt really. I mean I know her and she knows me but I haven't talked to her in years. I didn't grow up back east so I really only know my more immediate family. Should I still call?

My uncles (Grammys sons) did confront them and they just deny. There's no actual proof other than my uncle knowing what was where and now it's not. I doubt they'll ever say they took anything. Is there anything I can do? I didn't really keep in touch with my great uncle. He was kind of that weird uncle that you didn't like visiting. It is very sad that he passed though. I really doubt I'll be getting anything and I don't care to be honest because I'm not a greedy a****** . I did call him a week before he passed because my Grammy told me he was asking about the kids and thought it'd be nice. It was a pleasant conversation. However my ass hat of a father is extremely materialistic and not thinking of my Grammy in this situation. He just wants his portion.

Honestly if I'm able to get her number I'd call just to defend my Grammy. She would never steal anything. I would also point out that they should be ashamed of themselves. But like you said pp they've been confronted and deny. So I don't see me calling them making a difference.

My mom convinced my aunt to take my other aunt off the will.
So when she died it was just my mom, my cousin, me and my brother that were left her things. My mom got what would've been my other aunts portion too
I felt so bad for my other aunt.
