So little long but bear with me. My ex husband was very abusive physically/mentally/verbally. Cheated on me constantly. Overall caused awful problems for me. We had moved to Texas from Az right after getting married. That's when the problems started.3 months after we got married I left him. While I was working he stole my car. (The key broke in the ignition and you could put anything in there to start it and he knew) I got out of work and my car was gone. I called him to see if he had it-call it a gut feeling- well he started screaming at me to report it stolen. I called it in and they knew my car before I even described it (small town) they sent a squad car to come talk to me. Well turns out he was seen driving the car and was involved in a hit n run. I knew he'd flee to Az to mummy. So I gave the cops her address, phone number and everything. They never caught him. Fast forward his current gf who has his child started fb messaging me. Getting all batchy with me. I told her he had a warrant for a felony in Texas. She replied "that s*** don't matter here sweetie...we paid all fines in lieu of jail time" clearly she doesn't understand the law. ? well I found this and dh is telling me to try to turn him in. He knows the facked up s*** he did to me so he wants him to be responsible for his actions. What would you do? Try to Turn him in or leave it be?

Is he in AZ now? I'm pretty sure if he gets arrested here they will hold him for the warrant in Texas. I think they contact Texas to verify. Personally I'd leave it. Karma is a biatch!

He is an Az now. The problem is is he said when we were together he is on the run from other states. He also lied a lot so don't know if that's true. He doesn't work. And he doesn't drive. And one of the easiest ways of catching someone is when they're being pulled over. Or a background check for a job. He purposely is living off the grid. His gf doesn't seem to mind. He also cost me thousands of dollars and I lost my car because of his actions.

I would turn him in but I'm petty. (Unless he could ever figure out it was you and would be able to find and hurt you and your family. Then I would let it go and wait for karma to take care of him).

I had a story about stealing a car that's kinda similar. Anyways it was a hassle but that person moved to another state too. I don't care or have contact with this person but if they came back around or bothered me I'd call in a second. I don't want any drama or anything so I'm leaving til it catches up with them.

I would but like pp said I would be worried that he might try and get revenge on you..I'm sure he will assume you did it because of the conversation you had with his girlfriend. Idk I always think of the crazy 'what if' scenarios.

But if he wouldn't know it was you, I would turn him in. At the least call and report it to his local police

I agree with Katie, my first thought was what could his retaliation be? Maybe wait a while so they don't suspect it's you.

I would probably just leave it alone. Unless hes bothering you no need to cause yourself more stress.

This was 6 months ago she started messaging me. It stopped about 3 months ago. I told her about the felony two years ago.

Move on and leave it be. He'll get his karma. He's obviously unstable and I'd hate to turn him in and have him retaliate years down the road when he gets out.

I personally would not. His time will come. Eventually things will catch up to him.

I'd turn him in. The person he hit deserves that justice

That's what I'm saying. He broke the law. He has committed several crimes. He has no way of finding me. I have a restraining order too. I have him and his gf blocked on everything. Plus I will be moving out of state in a year. The man he hit almost died. He stole my car. He fled the state. I'm sorry but I think he needs to be held responsible.

I agree with nancy and five. The person he almost killed deserves to have their justice for what he did. I sure hope if I was that guy someone would turn in the person that almost killed me.
