I know you can't see fully what he said but this is someone who wants to rent his apartment to us. Yet he refers to it as. A house several times. Also the address he sent shows not so nice apartments but the pic (one of them) shows a full kitchen and you can see a backyard out the door. He says his family relocated to Georgia and will be gone 6 years. Is this odd to y'all. I'm thinking it's a scam. Also I have stated I need to meet in person and see the property first. He still hasn't replied.

Yeah, def a scam. Especially if the property is listed on other, reputable sites for more $$. One call to the listing agent of the site and you can find out, real fast.
Its not uncommon around my area for scammers to 'rent' out properties that are already for rent- just to get deposit $$.
Anyone who isn't willing to meet with you personally or have a representative for them isn't worth renting from. Is that price too good to be true? Do people usually list the deposits like that in your area? Is he even willing to skype or FaceTime with you at the minimum? Those would be just some of the questions I'd ask myself.
Yeah I'm too broke to gamble an opportunity like this. Lol
@army I had my boy 2 months ago at banner del Webb lol I loved it there!!!
Also I called him out on the fact that to live in sun city, Az there has to be someone 55+ living in the home. And no one under the age of 19 may live there but can visit up to 90 days. I'm like so how did you and your family live there fool?
Its definitely a scam, as soon as I read the " will be away for 6 years or more" yeeaaahh right.lol
My Brother in law once saw a house listed for $700 for a 3bed and 2ba and said that a relative of his died and he had to go to the funeral and he was gonna be out of the country for so and so many months and my BIL was really buying into it until his sister and I said it was a scam, no landlord will rent their place just like that.
Especially a 3 bedroom house for 700dls lol we live in the Los Angeles area so rent here is sky high, u end up paying almost 1300 just for a one bedroom apt! And its not so nice looking.
Yeah he said I have to pay a 100% refundable deposit and he'll ship the keys to me to go see the inside. ?
Well because of the stress I am under I am a walking time bomb. I just shamed him for trying to scam a struggling family with a newborn and toddler. I will however feel really really bad if this miraculously is real. But I doubt it.
This happens ALL THE TIME. It could be a real place that is actually for sale but scammers say it is for rent and take the money.
I work in RE and people have been scammed to the point where they put up deposit, first/last month rent and physically bring their items to move in and the key they were given was a fake.
And the money is gone.
Never rent sight unseen!
He did say I could drive by the property. But like I said it's an address to an apartment complex. And this kitchen ain't no apartment kitchen. Lol
I asked him again to call me and how will we pay him.
His response again was "text me your line so I can will text you thanks"
Wtf how stupid do you think I am!?
Right I've also asked several times how he wants us to pay him being out of state (depending on his answer I would know if it's a scam) and he has not acknowledged the question. Also I asked to be able to talk on the phone and he said sent me your line so I can text you. (Also a red flag if they refuse to talk over the phone. Scammers willl only text/email)
Yeah just got another email with the same offer but a different name. Lol like the same words and misspelled words exactly? I was like let me guess you cannot meet in person because you relocated to another state for work with your family and you'll be gone for 6 years? Lol
