Scam calls!
Please let your friends and family know. Especially your elderly family. They are getting ridiculous. Today I got a call from the "IRS" saying the cops are going to come kill me and to call them back ASAP! Yeah ok. Blocking the number is pointless because the number is different everyday. I don't answer anymore but it's still facking annoying to get calls 5-10x a day from these stupid random numbers. And dh is now getting calls from Austin, tx where he's from and they always say I got a missed call from this number. Ugh they have called each from different 512 numbers 6x in the last 2 hours. He ignores them but damn it's annoying.

When I get calls like that, I scare the crap out of the person on the other end. They tend to stop calling you when you make it clear you aren't an easy mark.

Well I don't answer anymore because on the news they said now some of them actually charge your account for staying on the phone.

Someone called my grandma saying he was her nephew and coming to see her but his car broke down in so and so place. She said oh you're my sister (said her name)s son (said his name) and he said yes. Well he told her to send money through western union so he can get his car fixed and come down here. My grandma believed him but my grandpa isn't gullible. He gets on the phone and asked him how his dad was. The man said his dad is good. Well his 'dad' died years ago so that's why my grandpa asked. They knew it was a scam.

Pp I'm glad your grandpa didn't fall for it! It's so sad that they target the elderly. My Grammy would most definitely fall for it. I told her was to look out for so she wouldn't make the mistake.

My husband dealt with this last month. Kept getting calls saying we were being sued for '10-'15 for fraudulence. Then '11-'16. Was an guy with an Indian accent that then tried to fake an American accent when asked for supervisor. Changed the amount had to pay for it to be settled too. Called from all over. Once had a woman too. Reported them to the IRS the second day. And they kept on. When questioned the last time where was located they said Washington, but said the closest IRS office was in California ? someone's not very good at their "job" Im sure they still try calling. But it's been reported. Maybe they'll be caught. Have to keep an eye on my granny. She falls for this kinda stuff.

OMG. That's terrifying!
I have received a few ridiculous ones lately too. Twice I've had someone call me saying that my car is no longer insured and that they're going to come tow my car. Another was that there's a warrent out for my arrest. That one was clearly automated too ?
