I'm 12 weeks 5 days today with twins. I am bleeding again today (bled slightly at 8 weeks 4 days), this time is more than last time, and I passed two clots the size of dollar coins(no clotting at all last time), I called my doctor and he said to go home, put my feet up and relax, and come see him first thing at 9 am and they will check me out the best they can... and he said he will also try to get me an ultrasound tomorrow. He said he has seen people pass larger clots and while they seem big to me, they weren't big to him. He said no one can stop the bleeding, so nothing can really be done tonight. He didn't sound worried per say, but obviously seems to feel there is enough justification to see him tomorrow and order an ultrasound. I could use words of support and encouragement. And if anyone went though this and had it turn out well I would love to hear your story.

L&D won't accept anyone under 24 weeks unfortunately. I see so many stories on here that involve bleeding and passing clots, and baby turns out fine❤️ It's definitely stressful, but at least you have an early appointment with your doctor. Positive thoughts go out to you.

Saw the doctor, at the appointment he confirmed one heartbeat of the twins was still active and kicks of what he thought was the other twin (which he was thinking due to kicks and heart beat being in same area). But managed to get me into an ultrasound today, both twins were very active and had heartbeats of 144 and 147, and seem to both be measuring between 13 and 14 weeks. They also did a vaginal ultrasound cause the doctor is trying to rule out causes of the bleeding, including opening of cervix. Nothing the techs said or how they acted seemed to be bad, although I'm aware techs aren't allowed to give you bad news. The doctor did have me stay home from work today and tomorrow to rest and relax. But the twins seem good which makes me happy, I was so scared. The bleeding is still happening, but less then before, I had just bought maternity clothes before it happened and I was so scared and so freaked, but I'm much better and relieved now. Doctor said call him if it gets worse otherwise to rest and keep calm.

When I spoke to my ultrasound tech, I was told that if there was bad news that they’d go get the doctor to tell me while I was there. So if anything were wrong, you’d have known before you left. :)
