Potty training advise ? My daughter is two n she's taking her diaper off when she had to go potty so…

I've just been putting my 2 year old on the potty every 15 min... I give her pull ups to wear during the day & diapers at night.. I also took her to target and let her pick out her own pull ups and we picked out stickers to decorate her potty... She loved it.. Some kiddos learn by watching.. So I pee pee on the potty first then I tell her it's her time and she does it every time.. Just involve her.. She would love it... Hope this helps.. ??

My daughter is almost two and I have been meaning to start potty training but I have been so tired with this pregnancy. But I just have to do if asap.

I'm thankful for this post and the suggestions. I wanted to start with my boy but at 20 mnths I don't think he is ready as he doesn't yet understand what needs to happen. He will sit on the potty but I don't think he knows what for. I keep bringing him in the bathroom when we use it so he can see what we are doing and I'm hoping that helps

My son is over 3yrs old and he gets the concept of peeing on the toilet (although he never asks, I always have to put him on every hour or so). But he pretty much refuses to poop on the toilet. He has issues with constipation soy pediatrician said that could be why and to not worry. But I did every incentive (charts, prizes, candy, gifts, etc). And he hates the potty. I also had him pee on Cheerios for a while lol. I’ve heard boys are harder but I wish you luck! I was hoping to have mine out of diapers before I get a new one in diapers, so I pretty much had to just throw him in underwear. He only wears diapers overnight now, but it’s giving him the concept of ruining his underwear and having that icky feeling. He’s also in preschool now and that helps as he sees other kids go. I stayed home with my daughters for a couple days and just let them run around with no pants or underwear on. When they have the feeling of having to pee and nothing to pee in they learn what the potty is fast. My girls were trained within 1 week of doing that. I also introduced their potty to them as soon as they could walk. So they played on it and put their baby dolls on it for a while before using it. Also, watching is everything. Take them in the bathroom with you for everything. And sing and dance and clap like an idiot to praise them!! Consistency will work.

Put her in undies! The ones with the thick fabric in the crotch. Some kids just need to feel wet underwear and it clicks. If she has an accident, acknowledge the accident but dont make her feel bad for it. Like, "oh no, you had an accident! This pee-pee should be in the potty, huh?!"

And every time you have to pee, make it an ordeal. Like doing a pee pee dance while holding your crotch type thing and say, I GOTTA GO PEE!! Run to the toilet as animated as possible. She will be so curious, she will follow.

Thank u for ur input ladies ! Before she started going to school (8 months ago) she would tell me when she had to go..she got bad rashes cuz she's allergic to everything so she was very aware of down there n when but I think school kinda set her back cuz they were a bunch of one year olds so the teachers didn't say anything about potty time ..but lately she's been taking her diapers off when she has to go pee n she takes it off after pooping so when she's home I am mentioning potty time every few minutes and today she was like potty time I have to go poopies n ran the potty ! Sat for 10 min n didn't go but two min after she came off she went in the bathroom as I was in kitchen and says i have to go poopies so I ran to her n said potty time but she already peed near the potty ..but at least it was near the potty ! Lmaoo proud of her but give it another week or two n I'm hoping she will be all trained ..the only sucky thing is school don't really mention it they just change them ?? I'm gonna tell her teacher please just put her on potty with every change n c if she can go I also give her stickers when going on the potty even if she don't go hope everything I'm doing works !
