@matt.katie1217 same here i always start dilating around 33 weeks that could br why i got checked everytime i went. But all drs are different.

@boymomx3, my doctor doesn’t unless I’m having contractions or want my membranes stripped at 39/40 weeks. Knowing that you’re dilated means nothing until you’re in active labor.

I don’t think it’s stupid. It’s the only thing that worked for me. I was 41 weeks when I finally had my son.

Ive never heard of a Dr not checking for dilation. Mine starts around 37 weeks. Good luck. I don't see why it should matter.

@amysbabies, they checked my cervix at 36 weeks I was dilated

My doctor doesn’t do this at all. They don’t even check for dilation until your admitted. BUT besides that, unless your dad is a doctor or a nurse, his opinion isn’t really relevant on this :).
