@tee you are always so thoughtful! I know we can over come this. It’s just scary. I keep reminding him this is a life lesson to teach our children to be strong and never give up. I really hope I’m keeping his spirits up and he’s not hiding his true fear from me.
It is scary, but a positive attitude makes a huge difference. You are doing such a great job supporting him. Hopefully the surgery will be able to take care of it.
I have a good friend that lives in your area and works from home for Wayfair. I have no idea if they are currently hiring but I can ask her about it. She comes over for dinner once a week so I'll see her on Thursday. I'll let you know what she says. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Working from home would be ideal. Since SO isn’t going to be able to take care of DD. I’d have to find day care too. This is a lot to take in. And surgery is the 26th. That is so soon.
Thinking about it..... we have enough saved. It’s just the medical bills I’m afraid of. I might just see if his current boss will let me take over the phone and book his calls so he(boss) can work.
He (so) has pursued to get his Contractors license to start his own business. We actually went right to the licensing office right after the doctors appointment. I’ve pretty much started the business lol he’s just the qualifier.

With your SOs business make sure he looks into obtaining an LLC (limited liability clause) so no on can come after person assets in any type of work issue/accident. It’s also a good way to prove he’s a contractor come tax time.

My brothers both work there and since they are in school they both work from home and if you do nights or graveyard shift it's automatic from home. Easy laid back job doing customer service/technical support for a ride share app that's like Lyft. I can give you more info if you want it. Amazing job benifits start day of and three weeks vacation day of. Oh and they give you an awesome computer to work from. All you need is your own internet if you want to be at home.
@phoebe thank you! And we have registered as a LLC and our General liability is up to 3 million. We have several friends who have started their own HVAC businesses(successfully for at least a decade) and we have picked their brains enough to be confident we are starting up the right way.
