Biopsy is today!
We are at the hospital and in about an hour my SO will have his biopsy. They are going through the chest, puncturing his right lung front and back to get to the mass. It is right next to his heart and they need to be careful not to puncture it (that’s how close) . I am praying it goes great and we get to go home after the procedure. But the doc said it’s possible we will stay the night. He had a scrotal ultra sound he said that was the worst part out of this whole thing so far. (I’d be worried about the holes in my lung)

Thank you! He is out and did well. The doctor said since they didn’t see any extra bleeding and no pneumothorax he could probably go home in 2 hours!

Thanks everyone. We are home! Test results come back in 2-3 days. I’m going to call and see when they want us to come back in. The next appointment is the big one. ???

The doctor called us last night. It’s Thymoma. It is cancerous. And the next step is surgery to remove it. I pray it hasn’t spread. We don’t know what stage it is in. My SO is in shock. He doesn’t know how to feel about it all.

Thank you. Idk what I should be doing for him. I feel like I’m not doing enough. I know it’s curable. I know we can make it through it. But I don’t know if he feels that way. He said he feels the same way he felt when found out about the mass, barely holding it together.

Thank you. Tuesday he has a PET scan and right after we meet with the surgeon. I’m trying to stay positive. It’s way hard.
And I had a glass of wine while watching greys anatomy... the episode where George’s Dad is in the hospital for a tumor. I bawled my eyes out. Not a good idea.... or maybe it was. Dd and SO were sleeping so I let it out.
