I'd just mention to your SO that you have to try it on to see, so you don't feel awkward if you decide it's not for you

Yeah it’s precious to the Navajo culture. They believe it is a bringer of good fortune. It’s used in ceremonies and prayer. It wards off evil spirits. The symbolism of it is just beautiful to me.

Our wedding "set" was decided based on us and our cultural backgrounds. Some people won't like but that's insignificant. If it's important and holds meaning for you...then do what feels right for you.
