Legally....
Is it ok to kick someone out of your house because they threatened the home owners life? Like throw all their stuff outside after they left? No eviction notice. There was nothing documented as far as living arrangements. And has been living here since The end of April. I'm waiting for a cop to call me back or come to my house.

It could depend on where you live, bit you may need the eviction notice. Can probably have them leave the residence for the night or a few days or something with cops help

No idea, here's a bump.
All I can say is the police should have been called when it happened

They cops were called. I told the dispatcher he left. So maybe that's why no one is here yet.

I'd call the cops, before throwing everything outside. Get a paper trail going in your favor.

I had to kick my sister out due to her doing drugs in my house when I was pregnant with my first. When the cops showed up, she legally did not have to leave because she had been a resident there for more than a week or 10 days, cant remember. And I had not given her a 30 day notice. And no she was not on the lease. She had her own room and the stuff in it was clearly hers. It's called "squatters rights" or something. I'm in Texas btw.

You may need an eviction notice first, but if they threatened you go to the magistrate located at your local jail and attempt to get a protection order... problem solved.

Idk but maybe if you got a restraining order that could help?

If they get mail there you have to give them a 30 days to get out or an eviction. I would call the non emergency police line and talk to them before I would do anything. Like pp stated it's called squatters rights.

What's the chance of them taking you to court? Yes it's illegal to put their property out but they would have to file a claim against you in civil court. You wouldn't get arrested or anything.

He told us he was moving out. So the cop said he made his bed. He had bags he was loading into his car. We ended up putting the large items outside. Hopefully nothing comes of it. They don't have money to sue us. I just went through some stuff and I think they were using drugs and were stealing from the neighborhood. I found mail for an old lady that lives down the road. ?

And he may have a warrant out for his arrest for aggravated assault. It's soooo crazy what happened! I'll have to update with the story

Idk where your at but in,Colorado you dont have to have, money to sue anyone. They have a paper that takes your income, into account and they'll waive your filing fees with the court. Thats how,I sues my ex,for, child support. All I had to pay was 30$ to serve him the papers. ... So I woulsnt,be so sure that couldn't sue just because theyre broke. But like I said Idk where u live. Depending on the situation, if theyre stuff gets damaged, you could end up having to replace their stuff just because u didnt give them 30th days and decided to put their belongings outside. I completely understand not wanted them there where they threatened you. But just becauze they made a threat doesnt mean they dont have rights as far as u kicking them out....
