Rave! lol I did a temporary fix on some shingles on our garage. We have 30mph winds and they were flapping up and down. First time I've ever used a ladder and drill! Haha SO will fix it when he comes back home. But yay me! Haha

Thanks! I am proud of myself ?
My SO said you are officially a truckers wife haha (we aren't married but close enough lol)
It has made me excited about summer and building stuff for the house.

Are you wearing white pants?
deleted-user·
Nice!
RayOfMySunShine·
White capris. They are my house pants lol
deleted-user·
I'm not allowed to own White pants, let alone do work on the roof in them.
Good job repairing the shingles!

Great job
RayOfMySunShine·
Lol is that your own rule about white pants?? They didn't get too dirty.
RayOfMySunShine·
Yeah. My SO was a carpenter. He knows how to fix it. I just did that so we didn't lose them.

Put tar on top of the nails to prevent leaking
deleted-user·
Oh no! You should have just caulked under the shingles!
RayOfMySunShine·
No caulk! Or tar... Quickest fix before the storm. It will be fine for a temporary fix. They weren't long screws. Short ones mostly used in HVAC projects. We now have 4-6 inches of snow. So what's done is done.
Like I said my SO was a carpenter. He can correct whatever damage it may cause.

OK ? my husband is a roofer and would have a cow if he saw this! We have seen this before, not good! But as long as you fix it when you can!
RayOfMySunShine·
Yeah. He's a contractor and has tons of knowledge. Plus it's our detached garage so I'm not worried too much. It's a small roof and won't be much of a project for him.

What state are you in? I'm in Kansas in the wind right now is unreal!!
RayOfMySunShine·
Utah. All day we had strong winds. Then about 7:00 the blizzard started. ? I have to shovel the driveway before work. I'm not excited.
