If I noticed it I would say something.

I'd say something. I found a lemon under my diaper bag when loading my car and ran it to the cart pusher. I always think even if it's small that karma will strike me 10xs worse for a 33 cent lemon.

One time I bought a lamp and lamp shade and I put the shade on the lamp to save room in the cart and they only scanned the lamp shade and as bad as I wanted to tell them, I didn't, I mean, they don't even sell lamps with shades on them so I feel like they should have known. I always do but that day I was having a bad day and I felt like it was my good karma for being kind lol.

If I was already home and it was something small, if let it be.

I actually went and bought a nursing bra a few weeks ago. While at the register the cashier asked me if I wanted to sign up for some baby club and I said yes. She told me all about it while I filled out the form and when we were done she handed me my bag and I walked out. Halfway to my car I realised I didn't pay. Part of me wanted to keep walking but of course I turned around and went back in laughing and told her I didn't even pay. She hadn't even noticed and thanked me for my honesty. Now if I had gotten home before I realised I wouldn't have gone back because thsts too much of a hassle.

I would say something. I actually did once because I wasn't sure if she scanned it. She didn't seem to be paying much attention and I didn't see anything pop up on the screen so I asked and she looked at me like I was stupid lol.

I would say something. Just the other day I paid for something at the store and got change back. Once I was outside i realized she gave me the money I have her too I went back in and have her the money. It's the right thing to do.

If I notice it I say something. If I don't find it until I'm in my car or home then I just go on about my day. If it was anything more then a small grocery item or drink I'd go back.

I've done this with a kids CD. Ds had gotten ahold of it from the cart and I just walked out. I found it in his car seat when we got home. The next time I went back to the store I had meant to take it but forgot it at home so I just grabbed another one and told the lady to scan it and put it back because my son had accidentally stolen it and I wanted to pay for it. lol she thanked me for my honesty.

Nope. For one, I don't pay that much attention since I'm so focused on ds. But for two, chain retailers can take the hit. I feel no remorse for ripping off Wal-Mart for example.

I would say something, no matter what store I am in. Thats somebodies job. Accidents happen where items are skipped and if it happens too often then they may fire you..especially depending on the value of the item.

Places like wal-mart, not only watch customers on camers, they watch their employees.

Like something that's a couple dollars, yeah maybe nbd. High priced items, thats a different story.

Exactly, Ray. I tell them not because I am self-righteous but because I'm annoyed at their terrible customer service. Like, "hi, hello, stop chatting, put down the cell phone and sign into work baby, you're on the clock now, act like it."

I've been a manager before. And those annoyances have never left me ?

If I notice it then I tell them but one time I got home before I realized it and wasn't driving an hour back to the store to pay for it. I have also given money back to the cashier when they gave me too much change one time.

A few years ago, on the night before I left the country for a month, I went to target to grab some things for my trip and groceries for the family. I saw this cute brown purse that was smaller and you could wear it across your torso so it was the perfect purse to carry around Europe.

I got home, it was nearly 10pm and when checking over my receipt, I realized I wasn't charged for the purse. I didn't have any time to go back and pay for it because my flight was the next morning. I didn't want to go back a month later when I was back in the states and tell them what happened. That would be sketchy. Haha!

That's the ONLY time I've ever not paid for something and it's the best little purse! I've gotten so many compliments on it and it's lasted over 3 years!
