My poor dog....
Just found out he might have cancer. And we don't have the means to treat it. ? I just had a 4 day hospital stay a month ago and was in the ER last Saturday. My medical bills are stacking up. My daughter has strep and my SO might have c.diff from me. So he will have to go to the hospital and he doesn't have health insurance. This month has been the worst. Please universe, take it easy on me for the next little while. I don't know how much more I can take.

The Vet actually took care of the bill today, because we've had such hard times lately. It was so awesome of him. I wish we could do chemo or do the treatments he needs...

My pit had cancer, diagnosed about 4-5 years ago and our vet (also a close friend of ours) told us that it wasn't treatable and she told us she probably wouldn't make it 6 months and that her advice would be to love her and if she starts acting like she's in pain we'd put her to sleep. My heart broke, I had had princess since I was 13. She lived until this January with no complications from her cancer for all these years. I hope your dog ends up being fine!

I didn't go to the appointment. He's had a growth on his leg, first time we thought he got a spider bite, but it's back and larger. He has extremely bad gas and dripping from his penis. He is a boxer at 9 yrs old. We feed him senior nutro food and have for a while now. He's not losing weight, has energy and still eating so those are all good signs. I wish I knew more, but won't until I get home from work.

First, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I know how devastating it is to have your beloved family member diagnosed with cancer. I had a 10 year old boxer mix that had cancer and we had to make the difficult decision to forgo treatment and put him down. He was in massive amounts of pain and could not walk on his own. Ethically, our Vet would not treat him due to the severity of his cancer, the pain and suffering that he would endure through the procedure, and his unlikely recovery. 9 years old for a boxer is a good life. They are notorious for getting cancer. I know it's a difficult decision, but do what's best for your entire family. Cancer treatment is very expensive and at this late in life may not be effective. My heart aches for you.

Yeah we can't afford the treatment, I'm so sad right now. He is such a well behaved dog. He would have been a great furry friend for my DD. I wish I knew how bad it is... it's so heart breaking. My SO is devastated. He's had him since he was a puppy and go him when his son was born.

I know a great vet that is very fair priced in Taylorsville an office visit is like 23.00 and they can tell you so much right away. I have taken my pets there for the last 25 year.

It is called midvale you animal clinic here is the number they are the best vet I have ever delt with my mom took all our animals there and I have continued on if you start going there they even work with bills like they have taken post dated checks and my debit card to run on payday they are just a small clinic but very established 801-269-1213 that is the number.

Sorry to hear about your fur baby hopefully it's ok. I had to put my kitty cat to sleep in July. She had a tumor and when they did an xray she had over 10 tumors in her body. We decided to keep her until she was in pain. She didn't last long after that. Sometimes life isn't fair.
