Hmmm thats interesting. The DEA is making it a schedule 1 drug. But people claim to use this instead of loritabs and it helps with pain with out risking addiction to opioids. I'm guessing it's a schedule 1 because Big pharma won't benefit from revenue. It's sold in smoke shops around here.

Eta: made it schedule 1 because 15 people have died from it in 2 years! Wonder how many people died from opioids and alcohol in the last 2 years.

Its like synthetic heroin, the high and withdrawal feel the same, it's no good.

I know a few people who use it. It's fairly mild like opiate feel that gives users a mood enhancing pain relieving sensation and can cause mild withdraws if used a lot. It's unfortunate it's going to become illegal bc it's way less bad then heroin or pills. Someone I know was able to stop taking pain pills and subaxin (like methadone treatment) by using this. It has been used for a very long time by people in Thailand and Asia so anyone calling this PLANT a synthetic drug is confused.

There are several drugs derived from plants. In no way does that make them safe and ok to use. If it is like heroine or opioids wouldn't it be just as bad?

They're also having a hard time proving the deaths were Kratom related. You can't OD on the stuff, it's like trying to OD on marijuana. People who died with the stuff in the system were also on other drugs, so figure that one out lol. It's not put through chemical processes like heroin and cocaine have to go through. the leaf gets ground up, crushed, or put into capsules
