I also had at least 3 - my son was born at 42+1! Had my 1st at 40 weeks, another 3 days later, and pretty sure another at 41 weeks. Possibly had another somewhere between 41 & 42 weeks. Then got booked for induction at 42 weeks! They are uncomfortable - just like a smear really - but I wouldn't say they hurt. Just didn't work for me. Did have cramping after each one...
I had it done today, at 38 weeks. Doc said it's ok to do this early and between my high blood pressure and back problems I was totally ok with it. If it works it works if not then oh well. I've been kinda crampy since but not horrible yet.
I had it done last week at my 37 week apt, was painful, spotted for three days and major cramping, she did it again today at my 38 week apt. I'm still at 1cm but hoping it works far this time. And it hurt more the second time. Baby needs out lol
With my son, I was 37 weeks. He was born a few days later because I was 100% effaced and 2 cm dilated. With my girl ( this time around ), I was was in on my third day of consistent contractions, we did a sweep and I pushed my girl out at 6:44 am

I had it done 3 times with my first and nothing happened I did get a little cramping and had my bloody show but in the end I was induced at 42 weeks

I had 1 with my 2nd & after the doctors appointment I went made groceries then went home only for my water to break at the front door.
