I had my doctors appointment today. I have felt a hard lump in my breast that hurt! I originally thought it may be a milk duct that was clogged or infected. Turns out it is a cyst! She said we could do a ultrasound to check it or I could just monitor it. I opted to monitor it for now and see if it goes away or gets bigger. I'm nervous about it to say the least. Cysts run in my family and both of my aunts get them all the time, but they both get different kind of cysts... One has had to have the surgically removed and the other they just come and go. I'm nervous that it will have to be biopsied and removed! Anyone have any experience with cysts? I just want to breast feed my child and not have any problems.

I've had this experience with my first son. My breasts were so full of milk that when I took a hot shower to relieve some of the stress, I get out the shower with a huge cyst right on my boob. It grew but come to find out it was also a clogged milk duct. The way they drained it was horrid. The most painful experience I had ever been through. The constant needles poking my sore breast just to get the infection out was painful.
I wanted to breastfeed my son so bad since he was my first but it was so depressing not to have that bond with him.
I pray that it gets better for you girl.

Pregnancy was a breeze but that ish was the most painful thing I have ever experienced and I'm doing everything not to have that happen again. Lord knows I can't go through that.
