Revealing to SO's children and ex...

I know it's different but ended up telling my ex and LO at the same time.

I feel like he should do whatever he feels most comfortable with. I think one will be excited and the older one not so much, I don't care what his ex thinks personally, I'm more concerned about the boys.

I would probably tell their mom first. Just as a courtesy to let her know you'll be telling her boys so she can be ready in case they come home with questions or anything. I just think that would be the best way to handle it... Then she's not caught off guard with little boys asking her about babies all of the sudden. Lol good luck and congrats!!

I agree with sls. I would give mom a heads up that you will be announcing it to the kids and then just tell them. :)

We told my SO's ex first, and she ended up telling his son and we didn't get a chance. But he was the first to know that he's having a little sister .

I have a 7 year old that's not my fiancé's. I did not feel the need to tell his dad. I told my son and figured he would tell but he hasn't yet.

I told my ex before he passed , but he was actually happy for me

I told my 8year old step daughter I left it up to her to to tell her mom or for her mom to find out off Facebook. But my stepdaughter lives with me.

It's none of the ex's business.

It's a tough call. He doesn't live with us. But I'm already fat lol so I can't hide it much longer. I don't think we need to tell her. But the SO does. I don't care as long as I'm not at fault for the LO finding out because of my round belly lol. The "I'm just fat" comment isn't working much anymore ?

I'd tell the boys when you have visitation and then call and tell mom before you send the boys home. That way she knows by the time she sees them but you still get the opportunity to tell them on your own.

So his ex found out! Grape vine.... his family gossips all the time. She's sad I guess, probably secretly wishes it was her? Idk. But now we can tell the boys. ?

We told my step son first and left it up to him to tell his mom if he wanted to... She the jealous kind... And now she is making him share his room with her step son while getting a baby room put together... She isn't even pregnant. Lol

She's crazy like that... She can't get over how small I am with this baby... Cause she blew up with my step son... Plus we are having a girl and that's what she wants lol
