I’m a bit of an emotional mess today as my poor peanut girl (7 months old) had to get her hair shaved due to her big sister (4 yrs old) deciding to take a lot of chunks of hair out by cutting her hair. ?? I’ve cried so much today over it. (I didn’t get my first daughter’s hair cut until she was 3 yrs old so this is truly kicking me in the butt!)
She's beautiful either way! A lot of babies have no hair at this age so I don't think people will think she's a boy just by her hair and I think it will grow back beautiful, some people even say it grows back better and thicker after shaving it. My daughter has cut a small piece out of her brothers before but luckily it wasn't noticeable and it was trying to get a rubber band out. But I honestly think I would cry to if I had to shave my babies since he has so much.
Mammaof5: My son (5) did it the beginning of the school year cutting his own hair and a little girl’s hair at school so I’m completely flabbergasted why she thought it was okay since she seen her brother get in trouble and lost his privileges. He got his head shaved too. But he’s had his hair cut since 1 years old and I was sad to cut his baby hair but never cried.
I’m so worried her hair won’t be the same or as soft as it was. ? and every time I look at her I’m scared people are going to make ignorant comments asking if she’s a boy. It’s so hard to see her hair this way though. I never thought I’d cry over something so small like this. ?
Thank you all so much! Today’s been a better day and it’s a bit easier to deal with. It’ll be a bit before I’ll get over it but I know she’s still my beautiful peanut girl. (I think today she realized she didn’t have any hair to grab anymore).
