Anothe rInconclusive Blood Test
So I'm frustrated but not too worried. I had a blood draw Friday and they said it was "Inconclusive". My OB didn't want me to come back but she ordered another draw for this morning (so 72hrs apart). The result is inconclusive again. They are trying to order a Quantitative so I don't have to draw blood again.
So ladies my test results are in! I'm very early pregnant! Still waiting on my actual HCG level. They want to repeat the test on Wednesday. They messed up Friday's sample and today's sample but luckily they still had today's on file. They tested both using Qualitative not Quantitative. So... they fixed today's but have already tossed Friday's. So an extra blood draw. Prayers for a sticky bean!
I just found out they screwed up. I emailed both my OB and NP because my NP was out. My nurse practitioner ordered the Quantitative so Friday and today should have shown a rise in HCG. Apparently my OB family doctor ordered the Qualitative Friday and today so that's all they've done. They didn't even look at what the NP ordered. My NP told me to go tell them to do the Quantitative in the blood they took this morning then come back in 48-72 hours. Uggghhh if they'd done this the right way Friday I wouldn't have to go back again in 3 days ?
@tracy thank you! What other things? I'm concerned about a chemical pregnancy but they think it's fine. They said the same thing. If I was a 5 and now it's doubled to a 20 I'd still be under.
We say indeterminate up to 25. So if you were at a say...10 friday. You COULD still be under that. Few more days and you would have to be higher if pregnant. If you are still indeterminate, demand an US to see what is going on in there. Other things could cause low level positives like that.
HCG at 20. So it didn't double but it also didn't go down. The call center lady said that's probably not a good thing but she's not a doctor ? Anyways I'm not even going to freak out about it. With DS17months I didn't even get a positive hpt until over 6 weeks.
Whatever happens happens.
