Heartbreaking

So SS7 counselor told us to do "Feelings Check-Ins" if/when Hex doesn't call or show up or when she does and ask him how he feels. We're supposed to relate to him and let him know we remember he said he was happy sad ect. And how is he feeling now. We've tried ignoring it but he's getting older and is aware when she doesn't call/show up. So now we do the feeling check-ins.
