Luckily we have him 80% of the time. He only goes for summers and holidays.

Apparently all he ate was "popcorn and bars" since June because Hex said that was good enough nutrition. She told him he had to make his own food and take care of himself because she's busy and doesn't have time for all of that. He was really scared and hungry but he "got used to it." as he said.

I spoke with my old foster care advocate who advised me to contact my old social worker directly to see what they can do but CPS will do something because legally it's neglect. What all can CPS really do when we have primaryb custody anyways?

Is this serious enough to apply for temporary emergency custody? Imo yes it is but im not sure of the law where you are.

What kind of nasty mother says she is going to kill him if he tells. I hope she gets her rights stripped.

Cps would open a case on both parents (spending on state) and either kinitnher visitation or make her do parenting classes. Best bet is to go through courts directly with what the therapist said.

In the past Hex has said "I'm sure you'll use this against me in court at some point... "I don't love or want him I just don't want you to have him. I feel nothing for him when I hold him in my arms. I only had him and want him so I will have a little piece of Dh forever." That pretty much tells you what a worthless POS she is and all you need to know about her.

It's awesome that despite her threats your ss feels safe enough to tell his therapist what happened. It makes things much easier for you all, too, since it is documented by an individual the courts give authority to.

@Bentley the next step is we were advised to contact CPS in her area as well. Legally we have to send him back for visits so hopefully something will come of this.

@Beauty yes unfortunately she did actually say that about her own kid. It breaks our heart. She said she "Just wants to hurt us and doesn't want to be replaced." It's all just a show to save face. He'd be so much better off if she'd just step out completely.

This morning I was so pissed he snuck food AGAIN because he had to fast for his blood test to test for nutritional deficiencies. We can use that against her in court. So now he has to test tomorrow.

His response was "Sammi I was really hungry and have to take care of myself or sense I'll starve." That broke my heart ?

Do y'all think CPS would care that she left him in hot cars all the time while she went and did stuff? We already left the therapists office and I don't wanna go running back there if I'm overreacting.

SS was scared I was going to leave him locked in a hot car a few minutes ago and when I asked him about it he said Hex always does that and he feels sick and gets overheated. He

We went to CPS and they said nothing illegal has been done. SS doesn't say too much to them and him telling us isn't credible. They said she makes poor parenting choices but the things she does aren't illegal.

So... We've done all we can do ?

@Arose I just saw that and that's exactly what happened. I was advised by the therapists to go deal with CPS as well. The Interviewer said SS can't tell the difference between a truth and a lie and isn't a credible witness.

They'll help if/when things get more serious.
