I get 10-15 plus texts a day usuallyin 5 minutes or so if noone redponds (group text) from work. And all this is pisted so i can read this while at work, which i normally do. Even on my days off. I work fast food and a floor manager. The texts are basically about comments made online about our service. And how many comments good and bad we get. I feel upset cause I work part time 2 to 3 days a week and I feel since I am not getting paid on call time so I reality I should not be FORCED to think about work on my days off. It fast food. It's not an office job with deadlines or anything.

Can you remove your self from the group text. And text your manager saying "if you need tl text me about work, please text me separately from the group" or "please do not text me on my days off, if its important call me"

Trust me, i'm the same way. I hate when people from work include me in group messages on my day off. I.DO.NOT.CARE! Whenever they put me in one, I turn off the notifications for it.
What kind of phone do you have?

On most days turning my phone off is not a choice because kuds are in school and I do get calls from school frequently. I did set up an app today for work text on my tablet for non emergebcies, cause I pissed my boss off when I told them my feelings. Sent them the number and hopefully they use it.

I have an LG dumb phone. I don't believe I can remove myself from group texts.i know this stuff is important but they post all the comments up and I don't think we need to be texted on all the comments we get. I don't mind the text saying we are at or below our comment goal but sending every one I don't think it's that important to make me think about work all day.

And now anther manager asking me for my hours tomorrow cause my boss who was pissed off at me this morning told her to ask me since we can't add her due to labor. I am planning on working my hours, which now I just wanna quit and I can't till I find a lesser paying job cause our company pays us nicely.
