Yes that is why i am stressed i am going to talk to dr about that and call mine and dh dr tomorrow to see since we dont have symptoms if we can just get the rx. I thinking that is the wisest thing to do cause i dont want to bring baby home to this. Or if baby is in nicu i domt want to not be able to see him cause of it. (i have had 3 nicu babies so hence my reasoning for nicu baby)

Everyone in your house needs to be treated. Your entire house needs to be treated. Everything that can be washed, wash it in hot water and dry on the highest setting. Whatever can't be washed or put in the drier needs to be bagged for at least 30 days. Mattresses need to be treated and and covered with a zipped up mattress cover. When you deep clean your house use pine sol. They hate it. Also vacuum everything. Even the mattresses. There's a spray you can get at Walmart or the pharmacy. It says it's for bed bugs. It has the same active ingredients that the cream used for scabies has. Buy the spray and spray your entire house, mattresses, furniture and carpet. Vacuum and repeat.

Acually scabies only live on services for 3 days max. Looked up on cdc website so i can put in plastic bags for a week. I am just fustrated cause we have alot. But we also read somwhere that rubbing acholhol kills them too. On funiture. But yes its not as bad as lice or fleas but still sucks. Will take a coupke more boys in cause of paranoia then talk to dr about treating all kids amd try to see if i can just get a rx from our dr without apt. Cause we dont have the bites yet so apt would be pountless.

Yes they live up to 3 days on surfaces. They can fall off the person carrying them, so you need to treat your house. If someone else in your has them and isn't showing symptoms they can still fall of off them and be on your surfaces. Everyone has to be treated at the same time, and your house as well. We dealt with this last year.

Maybe inform your son's teacher & if they have school nurse, request to have the kids checked.

You're probably right about him getting it at school. When my older sister was a teenager she kept running away from home. Family court had her put in a home for delinquent teens. She ended up getting scabies. She would come home every other weekend. I remember having to be rubbed down with that cream. What is the school saying? Is it his real school or like a daycare?

Real school my kids dont go to daycare. But we gotmeds to treat all the kids is at the pharmacy to pick uo so will get all the kids treated tonight and repeat in a week. I out in a phone call to my and dh pcp to get a rx. I am hoping since we dont have symptoms yet that they can just orescribe the oinment for it and not make an apt. Because there is nothing to look at yet. But we will see.

We got 7 tubes all together and it took under 2 tubes to treat all pf us (9) so we will have enough to retreat us in a week. Praying it works. Also dr saud we dont need to bag our stuff just leave it alone. So i will just wash clothes nightly so we dont dig in any "infectrd" clothes just in case. So prayin this works and not comes back. Pray for us. We are letting anyone who may be in our house know and asking them to treat themselves. And stuff.

So i wish i could pack 3 days of fresh laundered clotges. Spray van out with rubbing alcolhol to kill anything in it and leave my house for three days. That way when we returned every scabie if any would be dead. But my moms dog has fleas, in laws dont know our issues and too paranoid about them to know. Cant afford hotel (and really are tgey any cleaner) i thought about deep cleaning main level. Sprayed couches already with alcolhow we could vaccuum and clean caroets and sweep and mop really good tgen clean bathroom and kitchen and dining room really goid and confine ourselves to main level for three day with 3 days of clean clotges. Then that way we dont have to worry about if kids play with something that needs to be confined to tge tgree day period. Cause dr said we dont have to bag everything just leave things alone for three days. But would kids do thay? Would have to wash all pillows just the ones we wanna use over the next three days. Uggg i hate this.

Ugh! Scabies are horrible!!! Yes he got it from school. It's very common with children. I worked at an elementary school and got it. I had to get the cream and my sister got it..we shared clothes cuz we are 13 months apart and so then we just had to keep washing clothes and bed sheets and putting on the cream. Make sure he isn't scratching or else it'll spread. Poor thing!

Yup i vaccuumed sprayed furniture with 91% rubbing alcolhol. We washed clean clothes for kids and we are sweeping and mopping with bleach water. Put pillows in dryer high heat for about a half hour. Put cream on all pf us. And showered it off this morning, fotpr the next couple days we will be washing clean outfits daily keepung all clean clothes in living room whatever is up stairs is off limits till sunday (since they only live on services for 2-3 days) will have dh shampoo carpet when he gets home. I am just grateful it a bug that doesnt like to live on services, unlike flras, bed bugs or lice. So after this weekend it should basically be gone.sprayed van seats with the rybbing alcolhol. We are campung in living room so we dont have to stress about kids diggung in something we might forget to clean. Cause by sunday if any are upstairs they should be dead. Also will do our retreating with cream in a week. I babysat monday before we knew what was goung on so i told her she needs to tell (mom is living with her parent) her family to lk up on cdc website and treat everyone in the house cause i dont want it coming back to us. My gradsons mom and dad need to do same. I dont want them over till we know for sure tgey dont have it.cause she has been haging out herr alot when stepso is working.but hopefully monday our house will be scabie free?

Camping out in living room and ththis is so uncomfortable i sleeping on love seat and just not too much room.
