Wash all materials in hot water, including stuffed animals, if you can't wash them put them in the dryer on hot/anti-bacterial. Those little bugs are yucky to get rid off but the cream works pretty fast. My daughter got it at childcare once.

The bugs only live about 3 days on furniture according to cdc. But its keeping it off kids. Also rubbing alcolhol in spray bottle and spray on furniture will help too. But of course kids dont get this crap all at once so we have to keep doing it.

When patients get this in nursing homes we totally isolate them, rub them down with the cream and give them a bath exactly 24 hours later. While bathing all sheets and the entire room gets bleached. It's a pain

Yes no fun. We have a couple kids with 1-2 looking bites so we treated those luttle bites jyst in case tonight with sons meds and will take them in tomorrow to get them looked at to make sure they are not any...

Try not to let anyone share clothes blankets etc also no body to body touching .the cream doesn't kill the scabies it just stops the itching I believe theirs a compound pill to kill the virus

He told me the cream makes them not contagious anymore and so did pharucist. And we read witchhazle will bring it to surface faster ti help the itching stop faster. But yes no pbody touches anybody exceot for 2 yr old. Cant be helped. But clotges git washed blankets pillows. And will rewash all blankets he used tonight with the cream on. But the cream does make it not spread if it hasnt already but for all we know is we all got it and just waiting to break out with it...

So since its not contagious i think it kills them but still itches for awhile after. Also we have to repeat the cream a week later.

Byt i lso read the other kids can be up to 6 weeks to show any sign if they have it. I want it all gone out of the houuse by time baby comes so tomorrow taking a couole other kids in and i will be asking dr to just prescribe some for all kids just in case and i will call my ob or family dr to get rx for me and dh to try to get rid of it just in vase any of us have it but dont show syptoms for 6 weeks. I dont wanna bring home baby with this.

My sister got it. From what she was told it can live in bedding for up to a month.. Not just a few days but months! It's passed by bedding and skin to skin contact I freaked out cuz the week before she found out she had them my kids and I stayed a few nights w her and my kids slept on her bed, thankfully we didn't get it but yes wash everything if u have animals bath them and keep them away, don't let ur kids rough house and wrestle do everything in as hot of water as you can if u can shampoo carpets and furniture it is best to do so. Take all medication I know my sister had to take a couple giant horse like pills, I watched my kids and my skin for weeks, it's a running joke any time someone gets an itch in our family we blame scabies but it's so not fun after seeing my sisters skin and then learning about them and how the "queen" lives in one spot under the skin and makes babies that travel threw out your skin to cause these hives. The skin test isn't fun and I hope you get everything done before baby and if ur still fighting it just follow all dr orders!!!! Good luck Hun!

We looked on cdc website (center for dieseise control) pets dont get them and it lives max up to 3 days i am not worried about that part. I just worried that i or another kid can have it and not know for 2-6 weeks.cause we didnt treat everyone for it. Now and waited for the bites to show up to treat them and at that point the original person can get it again. He didnt do a skin scrape but i understand it just to be a scrape of a bite to see if it has scabies or eggs in it. He just looked at the rash.

One other kid has it talked to dr and he prescribed meds to treat all the kids. My dh is bagging all the jids clothes except for 3 dats worth and putting them in the closet for a few day to prevent any spreading. I called dh and mine pcp to trt to get an rx without an apt because we dont have any nites for them to look at right now. So whats the point of seing dr with nothing to look at. We just need the meds to treat us. It saves dr time for patients that need to be seen. Who knows if they wanna see us then i have medicaid and if they wanna see dh then he has another issue that can be addressed. So we will see.

So we have /had 7 tubes of cream it took under 2 tubes to cover all 9 of us. So we will have enough to do it again in a week. I had one otger son get dx with it. Hopefully this works and we are done with it. Dr said we dont even have to bag our stuff as long as kids leave it be. So any clothes can stay in dresser we just need to pick out 3 days worth and leave the rest alone. Which we can wash clotges and put those clothes on them.

Wish we could disenfect car real fast rubbing alcohol. Pack 3 pairs odpf clothes each and go somwhere for tge weekend. Then everything in house would be dead by tge time we got home.. Sounds like a good plan to me. 3 days us tge longest bugs live with being on a human. I would say go camping this weekend but heck we all know how uncomfy that would be for me... If we didnt have to live in this house for 3 days then i would be happuer knowing its would be clwared. But my moms dog has fleas so cant go escaoe over there. And in laws dont know whats goung on and they too paranoid too. So we cant go there we really cant afford a motel for tgree days but is that any cleaner tgen my house? And so i sprayed couch tonight tomorrow i will vaccuum and maybe we should all sleep in living room fir the weejend and say upstairs is off limits and so is basement. (however to do laundry we have to go to basement. ) i feel this whole house is a battle ground and if i could just disinfect one piece to live in then the rest can disinfect naturally. I dont know

Making a fun camp out situation in the living room may be the answer. I hope it goes away quickly for you. Glad you got everyone treated! It is no fun, but at least it won't harm the baby.

Yes, i just scared cause we wont know if its gone for sure. Only time will tell. Have to keep eye on the 2 boys with bites to make sure no new ones are popping up and none of other kids get them. And we retreat everybody in a week. They are not seeable unless under a microscope so yeah just keeping eye on kids and pray its over after this. I prettybsure since only 2 out of 9 people in family came out with actauly rash (bug bite looking things) that maybe we caught it early. Cause once they get the bugs it can take 2-6 weeks to get outbreak. And they are contagious before outbreak so yes we all could be carrying them but not everybody getting outbreak and we hopefully got cream on in time to prevent outbreak.

I just need them gone before baby. I need proof they gone by no more outbreaks too. So sad to bring baby home into this. Or not being able to visit him in nicu if outbreaks still going. And i really have 3.5 - 5.5 weeks..

You can try something called NuStock. You can put it on the affected areas. You can order it off Amazon. I used it on my dog when she had a small patch of mange. I've heard it works wonders for scabies.

Well i convinced dh tgat anything upstairs is off limits till sunday. Bathroom included. So i washed sheets and comforter and put pillows in dryer (the heat kills them too.) and will get more blankets washed and dried and camping out in living room till sunday. Kept older son home from school to help me cause i knew i cant do much. But i got up at 5 started washer and dryer after dh woke so took my shower at 5. Woke kids up to shower after dh and made them pick up living room (sprayed couches with 91% rubbing alcohol last night) vaccummed this morming. Sprayed kids shoes and backpacks and gave them clean clothes i washed last night. Fornschool today. Bring 2 yr olds play pen down stairs and sprying that with rubbing alcohol. So she can sleep in it. Need to get more blankets in dryer for kids tonight to camp in living room til sunday night. So we mainly treating main floor of house and giving the other floors time for the bugs to die if there is any. Will only go to basement to do laundry. Will respray couch in morning and revaccyum and dh will also use carpet cleaner when he is home, ds is stuck cleaning kitchen dining and bathroom with bleach water. Sweep and mop.. Amd wipe counters and chairs and tables off.

I praying my plan works. I so want to help but baby is moving so hard its making me cramp. So i need to rest now.

Also i thinking maybe a good hospital stay is in call for me right now. So i dont have tobdeal with it and dh can. Nice thinking but he will help when he gets home finishing what i dont get done.

Camping out in living room and i am so uncomfy. I want my bed back. But hopefully this will work and these things stay away after this.
