If she knew everything and continued then yeah that’s wrong but resentment should be going towards the man. She doesn’t owe an ounce of loyalty to the woman being cheated on.
If he is saying its an open relationship, then no she isn't at fault and in retrospect she doesn't have to check. Though just for piece of mind, if it was me, I would still find a way to see if its true. If it is, then fine but if it isn't an open relationship then she should walk away. After that of she doesn't leave after finding out he is lying, then yes she is a homewrecker along with the penis wanderer. Then she does become at fault for not stopping.
Now if she knew the whole time he was cheating and went with it, she's at fault from the beginning as well as a homewrecker along with again the penis wanderer. And resentment should go to both. At that point its not loyalty. Its common decency to walk away. Yeah I can admit I've got personal feelings towards this type of situation.
If you mean she has gone so far as to have slept with him (as opposed to a couple of dates) then she is just as guilty as he is. How does she not know anything about his life before lying down and opening her legs?! Sorry to be crude but seriously! She can’t plead knowing nothing but what she was told - if he said there was no need for contraception would she just trust him? would she not check anything? - if a guy told me he was in an open relationship (although for me that would be enough to walk - I don’t share sexual partners like that) I would check. Maybe not demand proof then and there but definitely more before I decided to make the relationship sexual.
She doesn’t need to check with the other woman - has she not met any of his friends or family who would know? Red flag that he’s lying if she hasn’t.
If you mean some flirty dates but nothing more, then no, she isn’t at fault for talking him at his word for only that far.
