UPDATE IN COMMENTS rant: canceling my appt

I had an appt with the specialist tomorrow. They call and cancel bc apparently she is only in on Mondays and Wednesdays! ? why make me an appt when shes not there? Where is the logic in that? Now I have to wait until Monday to have my incision checked for not healing. It hurts. I think its getting infected. I have a small bump that looks like staph show up over night. Last night it busts and won't stop leaking a yellowish whitish color fluid!! Its only like an inch from my incision. I'm in pain. I feel like I have a stomach ache constantly. Pain meds don't even help! ? now I have to wait until Monday!! I'm so upset!

Today is Wednesday.... The next available appt is on Monday. That's why I have to wait. I totally tried to get in today but they had no openings for today. ?

Have you thought about going to the ER? An infection can do a lot of damage in that sort of timeframe :(

If you think you have staph go to urgent care, don't wait and let it get worse.

I didn't want to go to the er bc I'm not sure if its staph or not! But I might go bc I'm pretty scared! Just have to wait for dh to get home from work to watch the girls. I hate this. Each time iv delivered bad has always happened!!

My ob was the one who told me it wasn't healing and to go see this lady. So they made my appt in the ob office before I left. Should I call my ob and let him know what's happening?? It even says on my referral ASAP in huge letters across the top.

I've never had a csection but if it's oozing then you should definitely go to the ER

Pp my incision isn't oozing I know that is really bad. Iv had my first split wide open! This is a bump just above the incision that is leaking fluid. Its not painful but my incision is very very painful and makes the whole area tender and sore.

I would phone your OB and let them know what's happening and that you need to be seen by someone ASAP.

Just got off the phone with the ob and he said as long as my incision isn't leaking or looking an off color then I should be fine until monday?? I'm going in to his office tomorrow to have him look at it again. The incision looks the right color ... It looks like it did when I first went to see him last week. He also said the bump could be a pimple that popped bc its not painful to the touch. But I think it should have stopped leaking. I haven't squeezed it or anything bc that causes pain in my incision.

Op, when I had my c section I got a horrible ingrown hair that got infected.. Maybe that's what yours is?

Pp it could be an ingrown hair but iv never had them just show up over night. It wasn't there when I took my shower at 9-10pm then yesterday morning it was then busted last night. Maybe I just didn't notice it.

Ingrown hairs are usually painful to the touch, right? A pimple doesn't continuously drain.

Have you had any fevers? I second the pictures. When my incision was infected I didn't pay enough attention and it got really bad. I thought the pain was just from the surgery. I was admitted for four days and was rotated through three different types of IV antibiotics. Make sure to keep a close eye on it.

Planet I'll post a pic in the csec forum! Caught., i haven't had any fever just the pain in my surgery site and I thought pimples stopped leaking too.

If you think it's staph go right now. My dad had a staph infection but had no idea because it was internal, one day he just starting acting a little weird and randomly just passed out on the lawn. The next time he woke up was a month later after he was put into a medically induced coma. He was on antibiotics for it and was taken off too early by a stupid doctor and it just came back and he's now got a pick line in his arm for who knows how long and another round of antibiotics. Staph is serious stuff. Please go get checked.

UPDATE: went to see my ob today. He said he wants my incision to still be checked bc of the pain not being helped with meds, but thank god no staph. It was a boil and he squeezed it and the "head" shot out! It has stop leaking since then just kinda scabbed up now.
