I'm not against spanking, but I would use a totally different tactic if my kid intentionally did this to avoid a punishment. First, we'd pick all of the Legos up. Second, we would donate every last one of them. Third, from then on, she'd have to do housework to earn her own money to buy more.
Sorry, I know it's a joke, but the lack of discipline kids have today is a real issue. My kids WILL know that there is an unavoidable consequence for every negative action.
Edit: She'd still probably get a spanking in the end for whatever wrong thing she orginally did to make her try to stop me from getting to her.
Im against spanking. But there are other ways to disipline. I wouldnt allow this. I wouldnt spank her if she did this. But like you said there will be consequences for your actions. She is only 13.5 months so she doesnt do this or anything bad right now.
My dd room used to look like this when she was younger. That stopped when I shoveled it all into three garbage bags then gave them back to her for Xmas. They even had a bow on each bag. She still had to separate the trash from the toys. :)
My parents way:: me and you get a shovel and scoop up all the legos and toys and put them in trash bags then convince us they are going to be thrown away .... that spankin was lookin real good instead. ???
