So put what I could in her bottle nipple and man did she like that. :) I get sad sometimes not being able to do what my body was intended to do. But seeing her look so happy and content after I gave her that little bit was the best feeling ever!! She took her bottle and we had no trouble with sleep!! I'm not sure if that's related or not, but it was a first for us in about 4-5 months.

Is there some reason why you cannot put her to the breast? Babies are way more effective at getting milk that any pump or even hand expression.

If you want, you could put her to the breast for those little bits. You will slowly start producing more milk either way - if you keep expressing or she nurses.

Well she was born at 31 weeks 3 days. I pumped bc she was too small to latch on. But after 2 weeks they said she wasn't gaining weight. So we had to put her on formula. :( I felt like a failure. Now I'm still having a hard time. She has latched but screamed bc she couldn't get anything. Tried to pump a bottle and didn't even cover the bottom of bottle. Now pumping does no good. I don't get a lot but the benefits in bm are so good. I have since tried putting her to breast but she is so grabby that shell grab my nipple with an iron grip! Shell then pull and thinks its funny. Lol so Ill just stick to putting it in her bottle.
