wwyd?

So Mon-Fri I babysit for my sister. I love my niece and nephew. I also have my own dd to look after. So I get a message from my older nephew. He asks me to babysit his kids. Of course I will! I haven't seen them too much and would love too. So my sister brings her kids to me every night/day which ever shift she is on. My nephew says can you watch them at my house. I say I can't bc I have to be here(my house) to watch my sis kids. Well apparently that pissed him off. He won't even talk to me! His issue is that he don't want to waste gas bringing them to me. Well I don't drive and I'm not spending 5$ a day just to go back and forth on a bus! Plus I already watch my sisters kids. She takes the bus as well. If she can do that on the bus traveling a longer distance why can't he make that that trip in a car?! Seriously, I have no problem watching those sweet babies but I'm not going to tell my sister she has to travel farther bc I won't be home. I'm a little sad bc i haven't seen them in a long time, like august of last year.....What would you do??

Your nephew being selfish.

Plain & simple

If he wants a sitter he's gotta bring them to you! Especially since you're already busy as it is

You're doing HIM a favor by watching his kids, he could bring them to you. I watch my niece during the week & my sister brings her to me.

You tried. It's not like you told him no. He'll realize that he's wrong and if he needs a sitter that bad he'll still bring his kids.

His dad (my brother) thinks im selfish... according to him I'm always selfish. I only think of myself. He said I was selfish bc I couldn't help my mom move about 2 weeks after giving birth. That's a whole other story though. I do miss them a lot. My son and his oldest are just 5 months apart and his youngest and my dd are only 6 weeks apart! I wish they would bring them over more but his wife and I don't get along. I tried texting him and telling him I can still watch them but at my house and he won't message back. I would call but they have an Obama phone and are on minutes for calls.

It's his loss then. If I were you, I wouldn't go out of my way to accomodate his *wants* when he *needs* a babysitter. If they went to daycare, he'd have to drop them off.
