I can totally relate to this. Ok my mum remarried a man younger than me. My mum is 52. He's 31 now and he has 6 step grandchildren. We certainly don't see him as a grandad at all! He's just 'dave, mums husband or nanny's husband'.

They're great fun as 'grandparents' because they're still fairly young and he's also very good with kids, as you are probably yourself.

So don't worry. Insist they just call you by your name! That baby will love you!

I don't really get why you are upset. A baby is a blessing. You knew he had this daughter that was only a few years younger than you. You are pregnant so there was always a possibility she could get pregnant too.

You think that's bad? How's this. My so is also quiet a bit older and has a son from a previous marriage. I became pregnant and then my step sons gf became pregnant. My daughter became an aunt at 6 MO old. I became a "grandma" at 21. My step son then left that gf and married another girl who already had a son. My daughter is 3 months older than the step grandson and 6 months older than the bio step grandson.

My mom became a step grandma at 32 (big gap in my parents age). I was 10, my little sister was 5. She actually really loved it. It's just the way some families work my dear.

Thanks ladies...I knew it was possible and I knew how old she was when we got together. Its just really new to me! I love her, and the baby with my heart. Like I said its just new to me. She got pregnant when I was pregnant. It hit me though recently and its been hanging heavily on my mind.

The only thing I'm confused about here is the age difference between you and his daughter. It's been 6 years since the DNA test was done (at 18 yrs old?) so that would make her a year older than you? Soo sooo lost.
