My wonderful beautiful 5 1/2 month old baby girl just finally went to sleep after crying for three hours!! I tried everything. I fed her, burped her, rocked her, changed her, swaddled her, sang to her, bounced her in her bouncer, and she just kept crying. I eventually began crying myself bc I feel so s*** ty. I feel like my sweet little rainbow baby that I wanted so much and love with all my heart don't like me. Then to make it worse, df calls me to tell me he broke our plans -to look at bigger places- to work Friday! I told him I didn't care that he worked but next time tell them he can't make it if we have plans. So he says "well that's pretty s*** ty of you... you don't want Alisa to have a good Christmas!" WTF!? I never said that at all! Now I feel even worse all bc of what he said! I try my damn best to be the best mother I can be. Of course i want my dd to have a wonderful Christmas. Ugh! I'm so over feeling this way! I feel like the worlds worse mom! :'(

No way. No freakin way are you a bad mom!! Babies cry, it's how they communicate. You did everything in your power to alleviate whatever was bugging her. Your hubby on the other hand kind of took it too far... Sorry you're having a rough day hun. They won't all be like this. Promise!

I dk what is wrong with her. She slept for 15 minutes and woke up screaming... it makes me feel bad bc I can't figure out what is wrong.. and he did take it to far.

Try pain relief if that happens again... Could have been teething pain? Any sort of pain...

Op maybe she's teething! My sons 6mo and around that time it happened. I bought him some teething tablets and he was fine afterwards. Try that and see if it calms her down! GL!

First of all, you're doing the best you can. You are in no way a bad mother. Sometimes babies cry & we can't figure out why. That's no reflection on your parenting skills. Secondly, your husband was very harsh. Your baby is 5 months old anyway. Like really, it's not like she's 5 years old. If his comment really bothered you, just let him know in a calm manner that it hurt your feelings.

Thank you ladies.. she is once again sleeping. I guess she is teething. I wasn't thinking it was soon. I thought she was before but I was wrong. She was 9 weeks early so she is only 3 months adjusted....She does chew on her hands alot too. Any ideas on good teething tablets?? My mom swears by hylands but they are like 10$ for 15-20 tablets? I'm not even sure if that's a good deal.

Op buy hylands but its more its about 100 tablets for like 8 or 9 dollars at target. They disolve immediately and work fast. I cannot tell you how big of a lifesaver they were for us! GL and i hope she feels better!
