milestones for 5 months.
milestones for 5 months.
My wonderful dd is 5 months today. :) she is babbling a lot and she is trying to roll over. She can pull herself forward on tummy time. She has been trying to crawl but hasn't accomplished getting her knees up under her yet. She can sit up on her bottom for about 5 mins before she starts leaning to one side, and she can hold her bottle by herself (yes,really)..Is she behind on any milestones for 5 months? She was 9 weeks early and my sisters MIL keeps telling me that she is going to be behind in everything bc she was early... she enrolled her son in a special program so he don't actually have to pass school to pass.. I'm not sure what its called. She said that bc he's a preemie (36weeker) that he's considered autistic??? I was a 34weeker and I didn't have any issues in school and had to pass or I was getting held back. Has she reached any milestones for 5 months? What else should she being doing at 5 months? I know rolling is behind but she is working on that and is coming along nicely. TIA...

Sounds good. My son is 6 months and he doesn't roll consistently yet and does all the things you listed. He was born at 39 weeks. To say a premie is automatically autistic is very ignorant.

Thank you Ladies. I had no idea about adjusted ages. I'm glad she is on track. And it is very ignorant of her to say. He doesn't show signs of autism either. He has always had everything done for him. He's 12 and can't tie his shoes. She won't teach him and iv tried to but he's just uninterested in learning. He has trouble with reading and writing. I know how this woman is and she will even do his homework for him.
