I don't want to complain
Or sound like a baby but omg! Does anyone have suggestions on how not to feel so nauseous and tired. With my first one I felt this bad but I didn't have any other children to care for so I just slept all day. Now I'm vomiting with a toddler pounding on the bathroom door and trying to stay awake until her nap time. I have no motivation to do laundry or go to the grocery. I feel awful and like the laziest person ever.
I don't know if you can find them, but there are some super sour popsicles called WarHeads. I ate them constantly when I was nauseous and they did help. I also wore the SeaBands and found some relief with them. If I was hungry, it would be 100 times worse. I made myself eat something every few hours. I ate a lot of Ritz crackers with peanut butter.
I did eat a lot of sour straws and sour watermelons with my first one I really need to buy some and try it again.
Oh momma, I had to do "mind over matter" ALOT!!!! I was constantly running to the bathroom especially during breakfast :/ and honestly I would tell my husband to not expect a spotless house or even dinner because I was miserable! I hated it! ?
I hope you feel better soon! I would snack on crackers throughout the day too
I'm going to try everyone's suggestions. I sucked on some peppermints today which has seemed to help. I just hate this not feeling like myself. I know it will pass I have 6 more weeks until I'm out of the first trimester ?.
Oh my god going through this right now it's been 3 weeks of freaking HELL. I am not even kidding I think hell is better than what I'm feeling. I am nauseous all day and vomit 2x minimum a day. With my son I only vomited once in a while and nausea went away after I ate. I want to sleep all day it's the only thing that makes me feel better. TMI WARNING:
Imo pizza is worse that puking rice and pasta omg I almost choked cus the crust wouldn't come out. And me choking just caused me to vomit even more.
Praying for us B! ?
I'm like butterfly. I rub peppermint oil on my shoulder bc of pain. Well I tried skipping it today because my back wasnt hurting and I got the worst morning sickness. I was so nauseous and threw up in my classroom trash can ?. But rubbing peppermint and smelling it helped me get by.
Let's see for number two I was much sicker than I was for my first. I did sea-bands, jolly ranchers, lemonade, ginger ale, saltines, pickles, popsicles (big life saver!), and Granny Smith apples. I also sipped on water through whatever I was eating it seemed to help for some reason. And I don't puke in the toilet because it grosses me out so I puked in a bucket, I was able to stay in the same room with DS and puke my guts out. Half the time he'd be patting my back and asking for hugs lol. DS also got more screen time than usual so I could lay down and be sick in peace. But you gotta do what you gotta do.
Pedialyte helped keep my electrolytes steady when I was getting sick a lot, which helped a little with energy so I wasn't completely drained. Honestly I would lay on the floor and try to play with my son as much as I could, nap when he napped, and ate whatever I could keep down. Strong peppermints like Altoids helped too. Finally I went on meds and it was probably all that made me not lose my mind lol it's really rough mama, I'm sorry! Just know it'll pass before you know it.
I have ZERO advice! Lol but with this pregnancy I swear the first trimester was terrible! I was so tired and nauseous it was absolutely the worst. I had a toddler too so that def didn't help. No matter how much I slept I was still tired. Just remember the second trimester will be better.
My midwife told me protein every three hours. I know that's difficult to do when feeling so sick but it definitely helps in the long run. I drank protein shakes that were safe during pregnancy. Crackers or toast can actually make it worse. To stay hydrated I made Gatorade ice cubes and put them in sparkling water. Perrier and La Croix were my favorites. Candied ginger helps too. Sea bands and preggie pop drops marketed for pregnancy sickness never helped me. My midwife prescribed me Diclegis but it made me too tired to even function. I already had a toddler and being a SAHM, I couldn't do it. I basically trucked through it all. The all day sickness finally went away around 19 weeks.
Thanks everyone I didn't think of trying seabands that's a good idea. I might try those sucker things that they sell at Motherhood Maternity as well.
I had terrible morning sickness with all of my pregnancies. At one point I had a 2 yo and a newborn while pregnant with morning sickness. Honestly, nothing ever helped. I remember just barely getting through it by the skin of my teeth. It sucked big time. Just remember, this will pass.
that sucks I cant imagine going through that with a toddler! just try to keep somethimg small one ur stomach at all times nibbles of crackers etc find what doesn't make u sick and stay with that for a while. seabands really worked well for me I used then 24/7 for a good while and then as needed throughout my entire pregnancy. I also had to get meds that's the only way I could function and at night I took benedryl so I could actually sleep it also helps with the nausea. good luck!!!!!! feel better soon
Altoids and the tv or iPad saved my life. Extra screen time for a couple weeks did not hurt my toddler. Also my son liked to mimic me puking in the toilet and to afoot him getting it on him I pulled out the baby potty for him to pretend to puke in lol
