This is the first time my 14 month old has been really sick with a fever and all. No one ever tells you how hard it is on the mom as well. I feel physically and emotionally drained from lack of sleep and worrying about her. I wish I could take it away from her and be the sick one instead.

This happened with my 2 year old a couple weeks ago she spiked a very high fever and had never had one before ( ended up being from her molars cutting thru her gums ) I was so stressed and drained all day bc she needed me 24/7 for everything , when she's normally a happy independent kid who plays and rarely needs much of my help.

Things that helped alleviate her fever was a lukewarm bath I used epsom salt aswell it helped lower her temp and relieve some of her pain and discomfort after the bath she slept for the evening and woke up with no fever . I never used meds or anything just the bath and pushed fluids ( water & I still breastfeed )
