The thing is I'm fine if no one gets my kid gifts. She has more than enough and my side of the family spoils her rotten. I'm always so grateful for the things we do get. To me though there was just no thought into these gifts. She took 6 weeks off work and kept saying she was going to come spend time with dd. She never came over and she only lives 20 minutes away. Better yet she was talking about how she went shopping at the mall that's literally 5 minutes from our house. Like you took the time to go shopping (obviously not for dd's xmas gift ?) but you couldn't stop by? I don't batch about it to my SO because he already knows and I don't want to hurt his feelings because of his mothers actions.
