Hoarders I'm watching it right now and these people have their poor children living in a disgusting…

It is an absolutely terrible mental condition and if kids grow up in it, they usually develop the same habits as their parents. The cycle continues until it's absolutely stopped.

I saw a video of one that literally pooped in a bucket and put it in jugs. Her house was full of poop jugs. She also said she got a "high" from eating food that was potentially contaminated with poo. ? I don't think I could watch that one. I got queasy looking at the preview video.

One woman had a collection of human waste in bottles all over her house! ?

My husbands mom was a hoarder. Rest her soul.

She never hoarded garbage or nasty stuff, just stuff. Lots, and lots of stuff. The boys had trails leading to their bedrooms. ?

My husbands not a hoarder, and neither is his one brother. The youngest has a tendency to hold onto things, but no where near the level of their mother.

It's a mental condition, but it certainly isn't genetic.

My mom is cluttery not hoarder status yet. It drives me insane and makes me the total opposite. It makes my chest hurt and anxiety rise when I see her buy excessively.

My mom got bad after I moved out, she's been getting her house back in order since I had my kids. I hate it. I buy stuff, but nothing like that, and I don't mind getting rid of things.

I dont understand why they made it a show?

My parents are... Not garbage or nasty shat, but just stuff. There's trails everywhere. I grew up this way and NEVER invited friends over because I was so embarrassed. I'm definitely not a hoarder. I throw everything away, which gives my mom panic attacks. She is always over (we live around the corner from one another) and will watch my kiddos while I clean. I rarely allow my kids over her house because I'm afraid they'll get hurt. Its a 3 bedroom home and there's nowhere for my babies to sleep if they wanted to spend the night.. :( But if you call my mom a hoarder, she'll flip the F out. She's a "collector"..... Smh

My husband father was one the was just like how you see on the tv but no trash just a ton of random s*** . When he passed that's when the family cleaned up to the best of there abilities. Try had no idea what a clean house was so when I finally went over to the house I spent two years cleaning it up on my own. to do this day they are unable to keep it as clean because they truly think it is clean even with dishes everywhere and clothes and shoes ever here and there sinning table full of stuff because to them it's nothing compared to have long absolutely no space. The hoarding has caused so many problems with the house it's cost thousands of dollars to clean it up and fix it. Hoarding is serious and really does effect everyone involved I feel so bad for all the children involved

I don't know if I could call my MIL a "hoarder" per say but I do know that the house they have in one state is despicable. They will clean it up every couple of months but then it is disgusting again. She always texts my husband if we are out that way and says, " Make sure you tell her I cleaned the bathroom!" She knows how I am and that she can't come to the house unless she gives me warning because I have everything spotless and sanitized. They have SO many animals and it's just gross. My FIL moved to another state for work and lives in a spotless condo and he HATES coming back to the house. They get into giant arguments because she tries to bring the same habits to the condo since she moved there semi-permanently. My husband is great, I think. He really only has gobs of fishing and hunting stuff but he uses it all so I don't complain. I have no problem throwing anything anyway. I witnessed a REALLY bad house as a kid and my mom said the next day, I started having really bad OCD tendencies and since then, I want everything clean. I don't like counters that have stuff all over them and everything has a place. I get horrific anxiety and the urge to clean a lot of places we go.

Nothing makes me want to clean house more than watching hoarders lol. I love the show.

My grandma has really bad OCD when it comes to keeping her house clean. When I stayed with her for a bit, I had to hand wash everything I used for the kitchen she didn't like using the dishwasher. She has a beautiful house that always looks like it's ready for a photo shoot lol. My

mom and I have some of her cleanliness obsession but my aunt on the other hand is the complete opposite. She had 12 cats in her small townhouse at one point. Moved into a basically small basement with a huge lab that she didn't take care of (literally smelled like dog poo anytime I went there) and is a slob that holds onto almost everything. ?

It's a horrible disease.

My pop has it, and his house is disgusting really. But he has the kindest heart and frequently buys me things he thinks I like. He is 65 and because he doesn't want help it doesn't look like he is going to change ?

You can not see the sink in the kitchen it's that bad.
