Lmao I hear ya all my friends are going to the beach I'm the only one with kids so we are thinking the zoo or something as long as it stops raining or it movies and popcorn :)

That lady was crazy! She is going to have a really hard time adjusting to being a mom. "I don't take time off to do kid things" then why invite a lady with a kid?

It's the same way for me too. My sister always wants me to drink. But DS2 is cluster feeding right now and I'm not ready to give him pumped milk yet. So no shots for this momma this weekend.

Bahaha yeah I feel this so much right now. My best friend turns 21 soon and I want so badly to do everything she wants but I have an almost two year old. My social skills are out the window and I don't want to be away from my daughter too long. My boyfriend says he will watch my daughter since my best friend just so happens to be his little sister but it's like after I became a mama I don't WANT to be away from her lol. I know she'll understand. She adores my daughter. I just wish I could do the normal 21 birthday bash for her.

I have this issue when I go visit my family. My younger sisters want to go out and drink, and don't understand why I won't just leave my daughter with my mom. I don't WANT to leave her just so I can go drink. Mom life!

I'm embarrassed about how inconsiderate I was before I had kids. As a nanny I should have known better, but I didn't. Because it is different when your babysitting as opposed to having your own. My bff had 4 kids before I even had my first. We went our separate ways for a few years because I was in such a different mindset. I have 3 young ones now and hers are almost grown. Thankfully she gets where I'm at now and hangs out with me anyway. I love her and I am so thankful that she's a better friend to me than I was to her.

I was saving that post on my phone so when I got back home I could read it well I opened it and refreshed it and it was deleted?. Very disappointing when that happens.

Lol, I'm watching Mickey Mouse, I catch myself watching these things even when my lo is playing with her toys or taking a nap.. What is wrong with me. I even wait to see what's going to happen next when I clearly know all the episodes by heart ?? life sure does change when you have kids.. That is why I don't typically hang out during the day with non parents.

I'm happy that my friends who don't have kids understand that I'm a mom and some things get cancelled last min and they like planning things to do with my son with me. I couldn't drink for my 21st birthday because I was pregnant my 22nd birthday cuz I was breastfeeding and couldnt pump enough and now I'm pregnant again during my 23rd birthday wouldn't trade it for the world tho ???

I think this transition from having friends to being a mom was easy for me because I don't have friends anyway. Haha I've always been a big homebody & loner

This hits home. I'm pretty sure I made a post exactly like the one you're describing not too long ago. The transition to motherhood is kinda rough sometimes. But your friends are out there looking to create a family and you already have one! I guess that's what helps me out when I feel like I have no social life.

It doesn't bother me that I can't do the things I use to but it just made me laugh when they called me today. I forget that I did things like drink margaritas during the day with my girlfriends. Plus I took the day off to have a 4 day weekend to spend with my little chunk!
