Reality check
So since I've been back to work I've been bummed about leaving my lo every morning even though she is in good hands with her grandma during the day. Well a girl I work with had to take in her sister-in-law, her 4 yo and her BD yesterday bc she is due in 4 days and they got evicted from their 1 bdrm apt. Neither of the parents have jobs and they are basically bums. They have nothing for the baby besides old clothes her 4 yo wore, no diapers, no car seat, nothing! And it reminded me why I go to work everyday so my dd can have a beautiful home and everything she will ever need. It makes me fee better knowing I'm providing for this little human. I give props to my coworker for helping them because she doesn't want her nephews to suffer due to the parents so I gave her diapers my lo outgrew and anything that I had doubles of. So for you moms struggling everyday to go back to work remember what your doing it for!

I hate working so many hours. I am doing 45 a week but may go to 50. We're saving for a house and hope to buy this summer. I have to remind myself often that I go so my kids can do extra stuff and have a roof over their head. Hubby and I try to spend as much time as we can together but it's not much

that's awful. I wish I knew her so I could help her out and buy her something. I don't have to work but I do like working and knowing that the money I earn benefits my family.

Thanks for posting this! Sorry to hear about their situation but it really is a good reminder of why I work my butt off 40 hours a week. I'm providing for my family and that's a good feeling. I miss my son a lot but I know I'm doing what's best for us. My mom worked her butt off too and I really admire her for it.
